Sign in to the mobile app

Sign in with your email and password, enter a two-factor code, choose or switch organisation, and sign out.

You sign in to the app with the same account you use on the web. If you belong to more than one organisation, you choose which one to open, and you can switch at any time.

Sign in with email and password

  1. Open the app.
  2. Enter your Work email and Password.
  3. Tap Sign in.

If two-factor authentication is on for your account, the app asks for a code next (see below). If you belong to one organisation, the app opens its inbox. If you belong to several, you choose one first.

Your organisation requires two-factor authentication. Set it up on the web, then sign in here.Set up two-factor authentication on the web first. See Security and two-factor authentication.
Your organisation signs in with single sign-on.Your organisation uses company sign-in. On iPhone this needs iOS 17.4 or later. On older iPhones, use the web for now.

Forgot your password

Passwords are reset on the IconEngage website.

  1. On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password?
  2. Tap Open the reset page. The website opens in your browser.
  3. Reset your password there, then come back to the app and sign in.

Two-factor authentication

If your account uses an authenticator app, you see Two-factor authentication after your password.

  1. Open your authenticator app and find the code for IconEngage.
  2. Enter the 6-digit code.
  3. Tap Verify.

If you don't have your authenticator, tap Use a recovery code instead and enter one of the recovery codes you saved when you set up two-factor authentication.

Tip: If the app says "That code did not work. Check the time on your phone and try again.", make sure your phone's date and time are set automatically. Authenticator codes depend on the clock.

You can't turn two-factor authentication on from the app. Set it up on the web under Settings › Security.

Sign in with Google or Apple

You may see Continue with Google or Sign in with Apple on the sign-in screen. Which buttons appear depends on your phone and on what IconEngage has enabled, so you won't see them on every phone.

These buttons sign in to an account that already uses that sign-in. They never create a new account. If you see "No IconEngage account uses that sign-in", sign in with your email and password instead, or ask your administrator for an invitation.

Choose an organisation

If you belong to more than one organisation, the app shows Choose an organisation after you sign in. Tap the one you want to work in.

  • Current marks the organisation you're in now.
  • Suspended means you can't open that organisation at the moment.
  • Invitation pending means you haven't accepted the invitation yet. Accept it on the web first.

Switch organisation

You can switch at any time from any of these places:

  • Home: tap the organisation name at the top.
  • More › Switch organisation.
  • More › Settings › Switch organisation.

These options appear only when you're an active member of more than one organisation.

Note: Notifications reach your phone only for the organisation that's open in the app. When you switch, you stop getting notifications from the organisation you left. See Notifications on your phone.

How long you stay signed in

You stay signed in between uses. You'll be asked to sign in again:

  • after 90 days, or after 30 days without opening the app;
  • if you change your password or someone resets it;
  • if the session is signed out from the web.

When this happens, the app says "You were signed out. Sign in again to continue."

Sign out

  1. Go to More (or More › Settings).
  2. Tap Sign out.
  3. Confirm. "This phone stops getting notifications until you sign in again."

If you have messages that haven't been sent yet, for example because you were offline, the app warns you first. Signing out deletes them. Tap Sign out anyway only if you don't need them.

Lost your phone?

Sign in on the web, go to Settings › Security, and under Sessions tap Revoke next to the phone. You can also use Sign out everywhere else. The phone is signed out at once and stops getting notifications.
