Business profile
Edit what customers see on your WhatsApp profile, including the description, contact details, websites, category and profile picture.
Your business profile is what customers see when they tap your name in WhatsApp. Each phone number has its own profile, and Meta reviews what you write and can refuse it.
Open the business profile
- If you have one number: go to WhatsApp › Business profile.
- If you have several numbers: go to WhatsApp › Numbers and accounts, open the account, click the number, and scroll to Business profile.
The fields

A counter under each text field shows how many characters you have used, so you can see the limit before you save.
Edit the profile
- Open the business profile.
- Change the fields you want.
- Click Save profile.
When Meta accepts it, you'll see "Business profile saved". Meta now shows this profile to your customers.
If Meta refuses some of the content, you'll see Meta refused part of this profile. The fields it refused are named and marked, and nothing is saved. Change the wording of those fields and try again.
Change the profile picture
- Open the business profile and find Profile picture.
- Drop an image on the box, or click it to choose a file.
The picture uploads as soon as you choose it, without needing Save profile. You'll see "Profile picture updated" when it's done. A new picture replaces the current one.
The picture must be a JPEG or PNG, no larger than 5 MB and no more than 1920 × 1920 pixels. It is checked again before it reaches Meta. If the upload is refused, you'll see "The picture could not be uploaded."
What you can't change here
Your display name (the name shown above your messages) is reviewed and changed at Meta, not here. Use Open at Meta on the Meta Business card to go to WhatsApp Manager. See Numbers and accounts.
Who can do this
Note: Owners, Admins and Marketing Managers can edit the business profile. Supervisors and Developers can see it but not change it.
