Invoices

Find your IconEngage tax invoices and credit notes, read what each one shows, and save a copy as a PDF.

IconEngage issues a tax invoice each time a plan payment or a WhatsApp credits top-up succeeds. You can view every invoice and credit note in the app, and save a copy with your browser's Print.

Note: Only Owners and Billing Administrators can see invoices.

Find your invoices

Go to Settings › Invoices. You can also use the Invoices tab under Settings › Plan and billing, or See invoices on the Overview tab.

The page shows:

  • Latest invoice: your most recent invoice in full.
  • Earlier invoices: a list of older invoices. Click an invoice number to open it.
  • Credit notes: any corrections, each with its number, the invoice it corrects, the reason and the amount.

If you see "No invoices have been issued yet", you haven't paid for a plan or a top-up yet. Nothing is billed while you are on a trial.

What an invoice shows

A paid invoice is titled Tax invoice followed by its number. It shows:

  • a payment status badge: Paid, Payment pending, Payment failed, Unpaid, Refunded or Disputed;
  • Supplier: IconEngage's legal name, registered address, GSTIN, PAN and SAC;
  • Invoice number, Issued date and Place of supply;
  • Billed to and Recipient GSTIN, when your business details are on file (see Business details and GSTIN);
  • Period: the billing period the invoice covers;
  • the lines, with Description, Qty, Unit price and Amount, including the GST lines;
  • Subtotal, Tax and Total.

For how GST is split into CGST, SGST or IGST, see GST and prices.

An issued invoice never changes. Only its payment status can move, for example from Payment pending to Paid. If an invoice needs correcting, IconEngage issues a credit note against it. Credit notes appear under Credit notes against this invoice on the invoice itself, and in the Credit notes list.

Top-up invoices

Each WhatsApp credits top-up gets its own tax invoice, in the same list as your plan invoices. A WhatsApp credit top-up label next to the invoice number, in the list and on the invoice itself, tells it apart from a plan invoice. It shows the credit you bought and the 18% GST on it. See WhatsApp credits.

Note: Top-ups made before GST was added to top-ups have no invoice. They are listed only in History on the WhatsApp credits page.

Save or print an invoice as a PDF

There is no download button yet. To keep a copy:

  1. Go to Settings › Invoices. For an earlier invoice, click its number to open it on its own page.
  2. Open your browser's Print command: press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Cmd+P on a Mac.
  3. To get a PDF, choose Save as PDF (or Microsoft Print to PDF) as the printer.
  4. Click Save or Print.

The printed copy is laid out for A4 paper and leaves out the app's side menus and the help note under the invoice. Printing the Invoices page itself also prints the list of earlier invoices and the credit notes below the latest invoice.

If you need the original document, IconEngage support can send it.
